TERMS OF USE
Intuition Process Mobile Application
Effective Date: 15 July 2026 Last Updated: 15 July 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
Welcome to the Intuition Process mobile application (the “App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App and all content, features and services offered through it.
The App is operated by The Art of Living, India, operated by its registered public charitable trust Vyakti Vikas Kendra India (VVKI), on behalf of itself and its affiliated and associated organisations (“Organisation”, “we”, “us” or “our”). References to “you” or “your” mean the person using the App and, where that person is a child, the parent or lawful guardian who accepts these Terms on the child’s behalf.
By logging in to or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms continue to apply for as long as you use the App, until terminated in accordance with Section 14 (Termination).
2. About the App and Scope
The App supports participants of the Intuition Process program with guided content, daily self-practice, a personal journal, and live online classes conducted by our teachers.
Enrolment and registration for the Intuition Process program take place outside the App. Accounts are pre-created when a person registers for a program, and the App is used to log registered participants and their parents in using the mobile number provided at registration. These Terms govern your use of the App; they do not govern program enrolment, which is subject to any separate terms provided at registration.
3. Eligibility, Children and Parental Consent
The App is used by children and young people, and the following rules apply:
- Under applicable Indian law, a child is any person who has not completed 18 years of age.
- To register and sign in as a child, a user must be 13 years or older.
- A child under 13 must not create or operate an account independently; a parent or lawful guardian signs up as the parent of the child and is responsible for the account.
- Where the user is a child, a parent or lawful guardian must provide consent, accept these Terms on the child’s behalf, and supervise the child’s use of the App. Parents are guided to accompany their child during live online classes.
By accepting these Terms on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or lawful guardian and that you consent to the child’s use of the App and to our processing of the child’s data as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means and update the “Last Updated” date above. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. Please review these Terms periodically.
5. Your Account and Security
You access the App using the mobile number registered for the program. You are responsible for:
- keeping your login credentials and account access confidential;
- all activity that occurs under your account;
- not sharing your account with, or allowing access by, any other person (a parent managing a child’s account is expected and permitted); and
- notifying us promptly at techops@in.artofliving.org if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.
We may disable your access or credentials at any time, at our reasonable discretion, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we become aware of a security concern.
6. Acceptable Use
You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it, or any other applicable Indian law;
- harass, bully, threaten, abuse, defame or harm any other user, teacher or person;
- post, transmit or share any content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative of or harmful to minors, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
- impersonate the Organisation, a teacher, another user or any other person or entity;
- record, capture, screenshot, stream or redistribute any live class or any other user’s image, voice or contributions (see Section 7);
- use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the App, or attempt to scrape, copy or harvest content or data;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers or networks;
- take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on the App or interferes with other users’ use of it; or
- use the App or its content for any commercial purpose, or to build or assist a competing product or service.
We may investigate and take appropriate action — including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and cooperating with law-enforcement or regulatory authorities — against anyone who violates this section.
7. Live Online Classes
Live classes are delivered inside the App using the Zoom Meeting SDK and provide real-time video and audio only.
- No recording. Live classes are not recorded by the Organisation, and you must not record, screenshot, stream, photograph or otherwise capture any part of a live class, any teacher, or any other participant.
- Respectful conduct. You must behave respectfully during classes and must not disrupt, harass or expose other participants to inappropriate content or behaviour.
- Children accompanied. Classes are group sessions, and children are expected to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Third-party service. Zoom provides the underlying video service. Your use of the video functionality is also subject to Zoom’s applicable terms, and we are not responsible for Zoom’s services.
8. Your Content
The App allows a child to keep a personal journal and to record their own daily self-practice.
- You keep your content. You retain all rights in the content you create in the App. We do not claim ownership of your journal entries or practice records, and we do not acquire any licence to publish, sell or commercially exploit them.
- Limited processing to run the service. We process your content only as necessary to provide the App to you and as described in our Privacy Policy. Your journal entries and practice records are private to you and are not visible to teachers or other users.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the content you create and confirm that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party right.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
The App and all of its content, features and functionality — including text, graphics, images, audio, video, guided practices, software, and the design, selection and arrangement of the foregoing (excluding content you create, which is addressed in Section 8) — are owned by the Organisation, its affiliates or its licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the App and its content for your own participation in the program. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, republish, download (except as the App expressly allows), sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the App or its content, except as expressly permitted by these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Any unauthorised use terminates the licence granted above.
If you wish to use any App content beyond what these Terms permit, please contact techops@in.artofliving.org.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The App relies on certain third-party services, including Zoom (live classes), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service (notifications), the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (distribution), and our hosting providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to the third parties’ own terms, and we are not responsible for their services.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or resources provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or practices of any third-party services, and access is at your own risk.
11. Privacy
Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data (including children’s data) and describes your rights. By using the App, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy. The App does not use advertising or tracking cookies; see the Privacy Policy for details on data and device identifiers.
12. Disclaimers
The App and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
The App offers wellness, meditation and self-development content for general purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and is not a substitute for professional care. Please consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on such content.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes any warranty or protection that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including applicable consumer-protection law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Organisation or its trustees, officers, employees, volunteers, teachers, agents or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any statutory rights that cannot be waived.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organisation and its trustees, officers, employees, volunteers, agents and licensors from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, at our reasonable discretion, including if:
- you breach these Terms or any applicable law;
- a parent or lawful guardian withdraws consent to a child’s use of the App; or
- your conduct may harm other users, the Organisation, or the operation or reputation of the App.
Where practical and not requiring immediate action, we will give notice and, where appropriate, an opportunity to remedy the breach.
You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account and discontinuing use of the App. On termination, your licence to use the App ends and you must stop using it. We may retain certain data as permitted or required by law and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 19) will survive.
16. Apple App Store — Additional Terms
If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and you acknowledge and agree that:
- These Terms are concluded between you and the Organisation only, and not with Apple. The Organisation, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory-compliance, and consumer-protection or privacy claims. Such claims are the Organisation’s responsibility.
- If a third party claims that the App or your use of it infringes their intellectual-property rights, the Organisation, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist-supporting” country, and (ii) you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Questions, complaints or claims regarding the App should be directed to the Organisation using the contact details in Section 20.
17. Google Play — Additional Terms
If you download the App from the Google Play Store, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service that cannot be reconciled, the Google Play Terms of Service prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
18. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to provide the App due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism or civil unrest, epidemics or pandemics, government actions, strikes, or power or communication failures. If such an event continues for an extended period, we may suspend or terminate the App without liability, on notice to you where practicable.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the App are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction, and any matters that fall within the remit of the Data Protection Board of India will be dealt with accordingly.
